Meet Your Guide: Victoria Véliz
Welcome to Speaking! I’m Victoria, the founder and head teacher. I’m Chilean by birth, a globetrotter at heart, and I’ve spent the last 15 years turning English language learning into an adventure.
I earned my degree in Guadalajara, Mexico—a city that stole my heart for seven years (and yes, I have very strong opinions on the tacos vs. empanadas debate!). My journey across cultures taught me a vital lesson: learning a language isn’t just about mastering grammar; it’s about building the confidence to be yourself in any room.
Tech-Savvy, Human-Centered I’m a huge fan of technology and leverage the best digital tools to make your learning experience faster, smoother, and more intuitive. But don’t worry—I’m definitely not a robot. I’m a high-energy human who believes that humor and creative thinking are the best ways to make a lesson stick.
Life Beyond the Classroom When I’m not helping students find their voice, you’ll usually find me staying active, hanging out with animals, or exploring the delicious (and occasionally challenging) world of being 98% vegan.

Inglés Impulsa - Decentralizing Opportunities: Connecting Rural Talent with the Global Economy.
Inglés Impulsa is a strategic educational initiative born from a clear necessity: the agricultural and industrial growth of the VI Region is expanding globally, but the opportunities for language training remain concentrated in the cities.
For too long, workers in rural communities have faced a difficult choice: travel long distances—sacrificing time and family—to access quality education, or remain isolated from professional growth. Inglés Impulsa exists to bridge this gap.
Our Mission
We bring high-quality English training directly to the rural heart of Chile. By leveraging advanced technology and a human-centered approach, we empower workers, small producers, and local communities to access the same level of training found in major urban centers, without leaving their homes.
How It Works
Unlike traditional courses, Inglés Impulsa is contextualized to the reality of the region.
Tech-Enabled: We use the Spark platform (National Geographic Learning) and live video tutoring to deliver a world-class learning experience remotely.
Industry-Focused: Our curriculum is tailored to the local economy—Agriculture, Livestock, and Exports—ensuring that students learn the specific vocabulary they need to thrive in their jobs.
Community-Centric: We build learning circles that support the student, fostering confidence and fluency.
The Vision
We imagine a future where a local producer in the outskirts of Rancagua can negotiate directly with a buyer in Europe, or where an operator at an export plant can confidently manage international logistics.
